Ground broken on the Xaaji-Cabdi resettlement projects
A market, mosque, district office and MCH centre for resettled families — ground broken on 12 September 2026.
On 12 September 2026 the Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Xasan Maxamed Xuseen (Muungaab), together with District Commissioner Yuusuf Muuse Guure, broke ground in the Xaaji-Cabdi ward on development projects for resettled families.
The projects include a market, a mosque, a district office and a mother-and-child health centre, with the electricity and water companies starting service; the regional administration recently handed over more than a thousand plots to families affected by road works in the capital.
