Xaaji-Cabdi — 1,058 plots for displaced families
The Xaaji-Cabdi resettlement is the largest project of Gubadley District: 1,058 plots handed over free of charge to families displaced by the Obasiibooyinka road works, with a free primary and secondary school (completed), a market, a mosque, a district office, an MCH centre and water and electricity services.
Ground was broken on the market, mosque, district office and MCH centre on 12 September 2026 by the Governor of Banadir Region, Dr. Xasan Maxamed Xuseen (Muungaab), together with District Commissioner Yuusuf Muuse Guure. Construction is under way.
